Dr. Sharon Walker, Professor, and former Director of an online nursing program is a dynamic and innovative leader. Dr. Walker has a proven track record of success in both team-oriented and self-directed environments and is able to multi-task and set priorities to maximize potential. Sharon has extensive management experience and a proven track record of leadership, scholarship, and service.
Dr. Walker is well regarded by her colleagues for her expertise in innovative teaching strategies particularly with online education. She has outstanding written and oral communication skills, including lecturing, policy creation, accreditation, and grant proposal writing. She has experience working closely with regulatory agencies, governing bodies and boards, administration, faculty, staff, and students.
Dr. Walker received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pennsylvania State University, Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix, and her Doctor of Education from Grand Canyon University. She has served as a Maryland NSPII grant project director, is listed in Who’s Who in American Nursing, and is a registered nurse with a broad background of clinical experiences.
