David Jones

David Jones serves as the Vice President of Advancement and Community Relations and Executive Director of the Allegany College of Maryland Foundation. He serves a major role in providing access to postsecondary education. David has extensive experience in overseeing grant writing and fundraising. He has experience working with senior level executives and volunteers in both private and public sectors. David has a Master of Education degree from Frostburg State University.

David and his wife, Elaine, instilled the importance of community, integrity, and civic responsibility into the lives of their three adult children. David lives by the concept of servant leadership, paying close attention to the needs of the organization and those within it, and always putting the interests of others ahead of his own. His serve-first concept extends to leadership roles in the community, including the Rotary Club of Cumberland, LaVale Lions Club, and the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce.

David continues to give back to the community by serving as a Board member of the Allegany County Museum, Scout Troop 24 Committee, Frostburg Memorial Park, and the Community Wellness Coalition. He further supports the community by helping his local high school basketball program as an official scorekeeper, scoreboard clock operator, and announcer. In supporting the youth of our community, his keen interest in youth development has included soccer, basketball, and softball coaching. In his church, he is a youth leader as well as a deacon. In his spare time and to relax, he enjoys playing tennis, mowing grass, biking, adventure sports, and long walks with his wife of 28 years.
