According to the most recent study by the Joint Center for Housing Studies (JCHS) at Harvard University, (2020) there has been a dramatic shift in those needing affordable housing. Most of the recent growth in renters seeking affordable housing has been among households with high incomes rather than those with low incomes. The rising costs of homeownership have contributed to this trend, keeping many higher-income households in the rental market at ages when they might be expected to buy homes.

AHPC believes every family should have the security of a home, enabling them to dream and aspire without worrying over the safety and affordability of their home.
